The freedoms afforded from our constitution are easily researched. It is pretty plain, and the words are not complicated. If you desire to learn more about it, Google "1st amendment".
I wanted to address an even higher subject, with an even higher authority to answer to: namely, God; but before I do that, did you know He stepped down, took on the form of a servant, was born to a virgin and was crucified according to scriptures?
After that crucifixion, where the Son of God became sin so that we might be free, He was buried in the grave for three days and rose from the dead victorious, according to scriptures.
Jesus Christ offers eternal life.
All you must do is acknowledge your sin (you have fallen short), confess His authority, and "sin no more". I hope to see you in Heaven.
Now-
If you are a Christian and happen to be in this awful position of the shutdowns, let me share with you some of God's words:
"But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel." -1 Timothy 5:8
You have a duty to provide for your family. Providing for your family, actually, becomes fruit of your faith in Christ.
"Thou shalt not steal." Exodus 20:15
"Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set." Proverbs 22:28
The government is currently plundering our businesses. God ordained you with the right to private property- everything from borders, to private ownership, to what we do with it (tithe) are ways we can honor Him.
There are more, but I just want to leave you with what has become one of my favorite Reformation quotes. Tyndale, the Waldenses, and others gladly burned at the stake for their freedom and belief in HOW to practice their faith. John Knox became one of the clearest leaders of Scotland (and England). He famously penned:
"Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God."
