We are unapologetically: Christ-following, liberty loving and patriotic.
Going out and about to get more business has drawn some new eyes to what we stand for as a business.
I've talked with everyone from dish washers to owners and executive chefs while sampling restaurants and grocery stores.
Sometimes it becomes very apparent to me that I have lost a potential account because of the stand I've taken. Perhaps against tyranny; perhaps against COVID; perhaps I'm too forward in my faith?
It seems that this day and age, if you support Marxists like Black Lives Matters, you are more fairly viewed in the eye of society than someone like me.
I just wanted to take a moment and elaborate on the fact that just because a society has declined to the point of not being able or willing to even define "woman", it doesn't mean that the traditional views a business such as mine espouses is either wrong or an outlier.
Our nation was founded by Christ-following, liberty loving patriots who believed-that at all cost- these views which we as a business hold dear are those which a nation must adhere to.
John Hancock wrote:
"Resistance to tyranny becomes the Christian and social duty of each individual. ... Continue steadfast and, with a proper sense of your dependence on God, nobly defend those rights which heaven gave, and no man ought to take from us."
--History of the United States of America, Vol. II, p. 229.
Samuel Adams said:
"And as it is our duty to extend our wishes to the happiness of the great family of man, I conceive that we cannot better express ourselves than by humbly supplicating the supreme ruler of the world that the rod of tyrants may be broken to pieces, and the oppressed made free again..."
--As Governor of Massachusetts, Proclamation of a Day of Fast, March 20, 1797.
And finally, George Washington:
“The establishment of Civil and Religious Liberty was the Motive which induced me to the Field – the object is attained – and it now remains to be my earnest wish and prayer, that the Citizens of the United States could make a wise and virtuous use of the blessings placed before them.”
George Washington to the Reformed German Congregation of New York City, November 27, 1783.
Our ideology and doctrine, as a business, is to glorify God through our business. We do this through faith and by maintaining the principals which has bound this country together for over two centuries.
If you disagree, we don't care.
If you disagree to the point of not wanting to buy our products, that is just fine.
This is our line in the sand. This is who we are. And we're just going to keep on being us, and making the best sausages money can buy while doing it.
